Dry Type Natural Draft Cooling Tower

General Features

Dry Natural Draft Cooling Towers are preferred in regions where have limited water supply. Big part of heat transfer is performed by evaporation in classical natural draft cooling towers. With evaporation, large amount of water discharge in vapor phase to atmosphere. Water that evaporates should be supplemented to the system. To solve this problem dry natural draft cooling towers are used. Vapor is condensed in a heat exchanger which is placed in cooling tower with a natural flow of air moving from bottom to top. The condensed water is sent to boiler.
